FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – April 17, 2026 – Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale, Inc., the 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization responsible for the programming, beautification and activation of Fort Lauderdale’s Riverwalk Park and and downtown Riverwalk District, is proud to announce that Fort Lauderdale’s Riverwalk has officially been named one of the best Riverwalks in the country, placing #8 in the 2026 USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.

Following a highly competitive voting period that concluded on April 6, the national recognition confirms Riverwalk’s status as a premier destination for residents and visitors alike. This marks the second year in a row that the park has secured a top-ten finish, following its #7 debut in 2025.

The #8 ranking comes during a milestone year for the district, highlighted by the 2026 opening of the reimagined Huizenga Park and the continued growth of downtown Fort Lauderdale’s residential population.
