Light Up Lauderdale is a ten week celebration of glittering holiday lights and holiday garland presented by Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale and the City of Fort Lauderdale. Join us as we flip the switch to kick off this year’s festive Light Up Lauderdale display at the Get Lit event on Thursday, November 12, 2015. In its seventh year, this free holiday spectacular showcases the two and half mile brick Riverwalk pathway on both sides of the New River in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. Parking may be easily found in multiple garages, parking lots or at meters throughout Downtown area.
Get Lit will take place at Esplanade Park on Thursday, November 12th; 6:00pm – 8:30pm. This family friendly kick off to the holiday season will include live holiday musical performances by the Broward Center Spotlights, and the Bobby Rodriguez Orchestra, train rides, sleigh rides, kids crafts, face painting, vendors and more!
We encourage you to bring an unwrapped toy for less fortunate children in our community.

Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale and Covenant House Florida are excited to announce the return of BACON BASH on Friday, November 6, 2015 from 7pm to 10pm. As a ticketed, 21 and over event this year, attendees will enjoy bacon inspired dishes, both sweet and savory, from several local restaurants and food trucks throughout Esplanade Park. Prepare to be amazed at what restaurants cook up and prepare to be as “happy as a pig in poo” when you leave. Wear your swine swag and pig out with us at Bacon Bash with DJ Two Story Lori at this rain or shine event.

This sizzling event will pit sixteen (16) top burger joints and restaurants against one another as they show off their creative juices and grilling skills to 1200+ guests along the scenic New River. The Battle brings together South Florida burger aficionados for an evening of gourmet burger creations, cocktails, beers and fun, while raising funds to support the Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale’s mission of building and nurturing a vibrant community connected by the New River.
