Riverwalk District Parks

Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale oversees a 3 square mile area known as the Riverwalk District which includes the 2 1/2 mile linear walk along the New River on the north and south side and includes 10 additional parks located in the Riverwalk District.

Bubier Park is adjacent to Huizenga Plaza and has a 10 unit exercise station.

Cooley’s Landing Park is the beginning of the Riverwalk.
Esplanade Park is home to many cultural, social and food events.
Thousands flock to take part in the Annual Stone Crab and Seafood Festival.
Hardy Park provides a lush green space used for many activities.
Enjoy a covered playground for toddlers and children.
Huizenga Plaza is an open space event plaza.
Huizenga hosts the annual Burger Battle, Color Run, St Patrick’s Day festivities and the Florida Panther’s skating rink to name a few.
Peter Feldman Park is active with food and small cultural events
along with a colorful play area for children.
Laura Ward Plaza is home to many waterside weddings and is a popular stop with transportation on the New River.
Sistrunk Park is home to many neighborhood and cultural events.
The park contains a newly installed playground.
Smoker Park, located on the South side of the New River is a great location for exercise on the 10 unit set up or a game of chess with a friend at the built in chess tables.
Stranahan Park is located next to the Woman’s Club. The park has a gazebo and is filled with blooming flowers.
