Marlee Matlin – Academy Award-Winning Actress and Activist

Broward College is excited to announce a dynamic schedule of speakers for its 2019 Speaker Series to be held at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.  Keeping in line with the Broward College Speaker Series mission, the series now in its sixth year features notable speakers that educate, enlighten and entertain the community on a variety of topics. Kicking off the series on January 16 is a longtime columnist for The Wall Street JournalBarrons and The New York Times, Ben Stein.  The series will continue with Academy Award-winning Actress and Activist Marlee Matlin on February 6 and Sports Analyst and Broadcaster Terry Bradshaw on March 11. Closing the Broward College Speaker Series on April 24 will be Award-winning Actor and Bestselling Author, Hill Harper.

The speakers will share their exciting experiences, insights, points of view and behind the scenes stories on some of the most current topics of the day. Each lecture will take place at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts Amaturo Theater (201 SW 5th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale) beginning at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices range from $60 – $80 and can be purchased at
