Master Sculptor and Erté protégé Ira Bruce Reines will sculpt live at the Coral Springs Museum of Art at 12:30pm on Friday, September 16, 2016 during a complimentary, one-of-a-kind demonstration using the tools and methods used during his time with Erté. Reines Collection Curator and Host Daniel Winn will present a lecture detailing the lost wax casting process – the process by which an artist’s original clay artwork is transformed into bronze sculpture. This demonstration will complement the Museum’s newest exhibit “A Reflection of Erté,” which features a selection of Erté sculptures, working drawings, tools and a large selection of works by contemporary master sculptor, Ira Reines.
