The Young at Art Museum at Broward Mall is hosting a special event in celebration of World Ocean Day. This event will feature a program by the Friends of Our Florida Reefs (FOFR), a nonprofit organization dedicated to conserving Florida’s Coral Reef through education, outreach, and conservation efforts. FOFR aims to raise awareness about the importance of protecting one of the largest coral reef ecosystems in the continental United States.
Additionally, the event will showcase an Underwater Fine Art Exhibit by Suzanne Barton, a local conservationist and artist known for her ethereal underwater photography. Barton’s work captures the beauty and serenity of the underwater world, emphasizing ocean conservation through her art. Her “Tiny Dancer Underwater Art Series” highlights the graceful interplay between human movement and aquatic environments, creating a transformative experience for viewers.
This celebration at Young at Art Museum provides an opportunity to engage with ocean conservation through art and education while appreciating the vital role oceans play in sustaining our planet.
