Bonnet House Museum and Gardens
The times before and after WW II saw major changes in South Florida. Even Bonnet House, the remote winter estate of the Birch and Bartlett families, was effected. The region went from being a primarily agricultural community to a booming area full of servicemen in training. The depression, war production, rationing, the threat of German aggression and the huge influx of servicemen and their families greatly changed the landscape.
