This exhibit focuses entirely on the interplay of light, shadow, texture and form. The lack of color emphasizes contrast, structure, and composition…drawing attention to the subtleties that might be overlooked in a more colorful setting. The artworks might range from minimalist abstract pieces where stark lines and geometric shapes dominate, to highly detailed photorealistic drawings or photography that explore depth and detail through grayscale. The simplicity of black and white enhances the emotional intensity of the pieces, whether they evoke feelings of isolation, clarity or drama. Paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture, mixed media, and jewelry will be on display.
