New Times is proud to celebrate the 16th-Annual New Times “Original” Beerfest on April 6, 2013 featuring a college basketball viewing area displaying the basketball championship games on large Jumbotron screens with high-tech sound systems. New Times Original Beerfest has grown over the last 15 years to be one of Downtown Fort Lauderdale’s biggest and most anticipated events. Every spring, approximately 4,500 young professionals and beer aficionados descend upon downtown Fort Lauderdale to sample more than 100 of the world’s best local and international beers while enjoying music from live bands, great food and special offers from local restaurants and vendors. A portion of New Times Beerfest’s proceeds will benefit Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale Inc, whose mission is to be the catalyst in building and nurturing Riverwalk as a vibrant community connected by the New River.
