Women Who Lead Conference

Women Who Lead Conference

When

Thursday, October 22, 2020 - Friday, October 23, 2020
10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Event Type

The Women Who Lead Conference at FIU is designed to promote awareness about the scope of women in leadership in our society today, to assist our student leaders in developing a strategic plan for their leadership development, to expose conference participants to gender equity issues as they relate to leadership, career, and personal development, and to provide an opportunity for our students to network with a diverse group of women who serve as leaders from a variety of career paths and organizational structures.

Since our initial pivot in March, the planning committees have thoughtfully & diligently planned a two – day virtual career and leadership experience for students, staff, alum and community members. With two separate events each highlighting different keynote speakers and panelists, this presents the opportunity to attend and engage both days of the conference. We have several dynamic speakers prepared to share their stories and expertise with the FIU community, including our Day 1 keynote speaker, Actress, Activist and Singer Mj Rodriguez. We are equally excited about our Day 2 speaker, who will be announced in the coming weeks.

As we present this to the campus and greater community, we encourage you to secure your tickets via Eventbrite as they are available in limited capacity. A waitlist will be available upon demand.

There are 5 ticket levels, detailed below:

  • FIU Student – free
  • FIU Faculty/Staff – free
  • FIU Alumni – $20
  • FIU Community Member – $30
  • Non – FIU Undergraduate & Graduate Students – $10

Registration is now available at GO.FIU.EDU/WWL. I encourage you to consider sharing this two-day leadership and professional development opportunity with students, colleagues and community members who you believe could benefit from participating.
