About March of Dimes
March of Dimes leads the fight for the health of all moms and babies. We support research, lead programs and provide education and advocacy so that every baby can have the best possible start.
Significant racial and ethnic disparities persist in rates of preterm birth, low birthweight and infant mortality for babies born in the United States, and the pandemic has only worsened this crisis. According to CDC data, expectant mothers with the virus had a 50% higher chance of being admitted to intensive care and a 70% higher chance of being intubated than non-pregnant women in their childbearing years. The data also shows pregnant Latina and Black women were infected at higher rates than White woman.
Building on a successful 80-year legacy of impact and innovation, we empower every mom and every family. Visit marchofdimes.org or nacersano.org for more information. Visit shareyourstory.org for comfort and support. Find us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram and Twitter.
