Mary Washington Brooks is the program coordinator. Dottie Kelly won the International Blues Challenge for the Southeast Treasure Coast. Betty Padgett won the South Florida Blues Society band spot and Mary Washington Brooks will be performing in the “National Women in Blues Showcase” in Memphis. Also performing will be Liz Sharp, vocalist and booking agent for Blue Jean Blues, Cheryl Arena, and Cyndy Floyd. Musicians include guitarists, Joey Gilmore, two time winner of the International Blues Challenge and Mike Ancona. Playing drums is Maurice Dukes; keyboardist Jerry Mascaro and saxophonist Stuey Blue will also be accompanying the vocalists.

The event is also acting as a fundraiser for our historically designated clubhouse which was built in 1917. Due to both age and weather the clubhouse requires a new roof at a cost of $60,000.
