This family-friendly annual walk brings our community together for a morning in the park while raising critical funds to support the work of Friends of Birch State Park. Proceeds help us preserve, conserve, enhance, and promote this special natural space and support the programs, projects, and improvements that make Birch State Park such an incredible community resource.

Participants will enjoy a walk through beautiful Hugh Taylor Birch State Park followed by an After Party with refreshments, activities, and more. Bring your family, friends, coworkers—and even your four-legged friends! Dogs are welcome and must remain on a leash.

Proceeds from Walk with Friends directly support the mission of Friends of Birch State Park by funding environmental education, conservation initiatives, and critical improvements throughout Hugh Taylor Birch State Park. Funds raised help sustain hands-on programs for local students and families, enhance wildlife habitats and interpretive exhibits, support volunteer-led stewardship projects, and provide resources that allow the park to remain accessible, welcoming, and well-maintained for the entire community. Every dollar raised strengthens our ability to protect this urban oasis while connecting people of all ages to nature through education, recreation, and conservation.
