In recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, Holy Cross Health will host a free virtual philanthropy series from 4 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6 with the topic of Partners in Breast Health: Prayer, Praise & Power.
The dynamic presentation will cover a look at the past as well as the unveiling of new future programming at Holy Cross Health. Among the panelists are a Holy Cross breast navigator and community partners and liaison. A patient will talk about her journey with Holy Cross Health and the Partners in Breast Health Program, which provides underserved women in Broward County with breast health education, health assessments and mammograms. Studies show that underserved and uninsured women are more likely to die from breast cancer due to lack of screenings and late-stage diagnoses.
Holy Cross Health will roll out a new program to the community with an innovative Power, Praise & Power brunch format once groups can come together in person.
