Listen to one of the most popular debut authors from the comfort and safety of your own home. Julia Phillips, National Book Award finalist for her novel Disappearing Earth, will speak on Monday, May 4, at a virtual happy hour brought to you by the Broward Public Library Foundation. Gail Bulfin, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance’s Vice President, Membership Development, will moderate the discussion. The virtual happy hour will start promptly at 6:00 pm and last 45 minutes. Attendees will have the opportunity to submit questions that the author will answer during the last 15 minutes.
Registration, which is limited to 100 people, is $25. Visit bplfoundation.org/julia-phillips-virtual to RSVP now. Dollars raised will benefit expanded programming at Broward County Library when it reopens to the public. Once registered, guests will receive a confirmation email with the Zoom link to the event. An internet connection is required to join. To stay up-to-date on all events, join the Foundation’s mailing list at bplfoundation.org/contact-us.
