A confluence of musical and cultural sights and sounds. Both Villa-Lobos and Ginastera are considered the most significant creative figures in 20th century Brazil and Argentine music, fusing the contrast of landscapes to define Latin American Classical Music.

Renowned soprano Karen Slack joins Symphony of the Americas. From her Met Opera debut in 2006 and returning recently leading in its production of Porgy & Bess, Karen has become one of the world’s most sought-after sopranos appearing with leading opera companies to symphony orchestras, and garnered accolades from winning the Montserrat Caballe International Competition and Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions.
