GOLDLEN JUBILEE CELEBRTAING THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY
OF THE ROTARY CLUB FORT LAUDERDALE SOUTH
A spectacular evening of celebration is being planned for Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Pier Sixty-six Hotel and Marina’s PIER TOP for the Rotary Club of Fort Lauderdale South’s 50th Anniversary.
The magnificent view and ambiance of Pier Top is an appropriate venue for such a special celebration of recognizing 50 years of service contributions to our community. The evening will include cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, sumptuous dinner with four entrée choices, delightful music entertainment by Andre Michaels, and dancing until the last light goes out. This is truly a night not to miss as you not only will have a memorable evening, but you are sure to see friends from local areas and afar.
The Rotary Club of Fort Lauderdale South is proud to have contributed to the local and global community in a variety of ways over the past 50 years, from improving the literacy rate through book distributions, providing homeless and food-insecure citizens with nourishment and support, distributing wheelchairs to those in need, providing shoes to children at Christmas, and supporting the Salvation Army and other charitable organizations. The club has been instrumental in growing the next generation of leaders through Interact, the Girl Scouts of Broward County, Rotary Youth Leadership Academy, Leadership Fort Lauderdale, the FIRST Lego League Robotics Competition in Haiti, and the recent formation of the club’s satellite, aka Social Samaritans.
While the club has seen members come and go during its half century of existence, its spirit has remained the constant: ‘’SERVICE ABOVE SELF”.
Please join your friends in support of this wonderful event. It’s sure to be an evening you will not regret, and one which will have you leaving with a smile!
