Join Nova Singers for a concert celebrating hope and the power of music.

The “Rays of Hope” concert will feature the South Florida premiere of contemporary composer Elaine Hagenberg’s “Illuminare,” a choral work that takes listeners on a melodic journey through darkness and confusion to light and hope. The South Florida premiere comes just days after the work premieres at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

The concert, a celebration of the hope that music brings to our lives, will include other popular songs, including “The Impossible Dream,” “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands,” “Rhythm of Life” and other favorites.

Nova Singers, directed by Chuck Stanley, is a 100-voice community chorus that performs throughout South Florida. The singers will be joined by piano accompanist Anthony Ciotti, percussion and chamber orchestra.

The concert will be performed three times, in three cities:

  • Friday, March 17, at 8 p.m. at St. Joseph Episcopal Church, 3300 S. Seacrest Blvd., Boynton Beach, FL 33435.
  • Sunday, March 19, at 4 p.m. Plantation United Methodist Church, 1001 NW 70th, Plantation, FL 33313.
  • Tuesday, March 21, at 7:30 p.m. Christ Church, 4825 NE 25th, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308.
