The 2019 Fort Lauderdale Pirate Festival is April 20th at Esplanade Park. Join us across the street at MODS for some additional Pirate fun for the whole family!

  • We’re Going on a Treasure Hunt!
East? I thought you said West? Navigate your way using your compass and pirate map to find the hidden treasure. Be careful not to get lost at sea!
  • I Spy With My Little Eye
Land ho! Pirates used spyglass telescopes to search the seven seas! Construct your own spyglass and go explore.
  • Eye See You!
Ahoy Matey! Did you know pirates wore eye patches so they could condition an eye to see in the dark? Create your own eye patch and feel like a real pirate.
  • Fruit Prevents Scurvy!
If pirates and sailors didn’t get enough Vitamin C while out at sea, they would get scurvy. Our chemical experiment will allow us to investigate which drink has more Vitamin C.
  • Pirates 7D Theater Ride
Go on a search for pirate treasure! Watch out for ghost pirates, sharks, and the Kraken. Additional Ticket Purchase Required. Free for Museum members.
  • Pirate Costume Contest
Come dressed in your favorite Pirate outfit and enter the contest!
