Oshima Brothers’ magnetic sibling sound and contagious joy result from a lifetime of making music together creating a harmony-rich blend of contemporary folk and acoustic pop. On stage, Sean and Jamie perform a host of hook-laden melodies with dynamic vocals, electric and acoustic guitars, octave bass, loops, and percussion. In 2016 they debuted with their self-title album followed by a 5-track EP “Under the same Stars in 2019 and Sunset Red in 2020. Their song “Ellie” can be heard on NPRs “Heavy Rotation” playlist. Their style has been described as
“alternative folk melding with a contemporary rhythmic strut. Their roots-based pop sound is infectious and wistful with thought provoking lyrics and their performances are a cross between a deep breath, a dance party and sonic embrace.
