The Frank art gallery presents “Florida Is…”, an evolving body of two-dimensional works that depict the natural beauty of Florida. With a focus on community engagement, artist and curator Xavier Cortada asks Floridians to define their state by its unique flora and fauna, rather than the things we build to displace it. Through delicate drawings, vibrant monoprints and colorful larger-than-life projections, this exhibition educates viewers of all ages on the importance of Florida’s wildlife ecosystems and encourages environmental stewardship. Dynamic renderings of a new framework for sustainable urban design and architecture in South Florida are presented by the ADaPT Team, comprised of partners from Florida Atlantic University, Brooks + Scarpa, University of Southern California, and University of Kansas. The new exhibition opens Thursday, March 29 with an opening reception from 6 to 9 p.m. and will be on display until May 19. For more information about The Frank, call 954.392.2120, email or visit
