Featuring a free screening of “Ronnie BoDean” (starring Wes Studi), and a live Q&A session with director Steven Paul Judd, South Florida’s first “Native Reel Cinema Fest” will take place during the Annual Seminole Tribal Fair and Pow Wow on February 5 and 6, 2016. The film presents the first Native American “anti-hero,” allowing for a new opportunity to explore the culture’s representation in cinema.
The evening will also include the presentation of two music videos directed by Judd, a Kiowa/Choctaw filmmaker who combines Native experiences with American pop culture through various forms of art.
Presented by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Seminole Paradise, and the Historic Stranahan House Museum, the event will help create a platform for showcasing Native American talent through film.
