May is Mental Health Awareness Month and NAMI Broward County will host its fifth annual “Artful Minds” fundraiser on Saturday, May 9th from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Mad Arts.
Artful Minds is a showcase of the arts and creativity igniting conversations about mental health and wellness and inspiring hope and the power of healing through the arts.
This unforgettable evening brings together donated artwork, live music, fashion, stage performances, and culinary arts all in support of mental health and the movement to end stigma.
Artists from across disciplines are donating their work in solidarity with those navigating mental health challenges. Guests can bid on all artwork in an online art auction Funds raised from Artful Minds ticket sales, art sales, sponsorships, and donations directly benefit NAMI Broward County’s mission to enhance the quality of life for individuals and families affected by mental health conditions through education, support, and advocacy.
NAMI Broward serves more than 12,000 individuals throughout Broward County each year, and trained NAMI volunteers bring peer-led programs and support groups to a wide variety of community settings providing free education, skills training, and support to those living with or supporting a loved one with a mental illness.
