8:15 am - 11:00 am
Fort Lauderdale Beach Park
The FIRST annual Naked Feet 5K takes place on the beautiful sandy beaches of Fort Lauderdale Beach.
The 5K course is entirely in the SAND. It is a nice out-and-back course that turns around at the jetty by Port Everglades. The ocean breeze will be at your side and the open water there for a cool down after the event. The beauty of this course is that there is no street to cross, no tracks to navigate, only leg-strengthening sand!! Come enjoy running in a truly natural environment. Place awards are given only to those who complete the distance “un-shod” (shoeless).
This is the first event of this kind in our area embracing the road AND trail running elements in ONE event.
Runners walker triathletes old and young will all love this new challenge to the 5K distance!
