We invite you to join us for one, or more, of our art workshops! This monthly program will encompass a wide range of mediums allowing guests to sharpen skills or expand into new techniques. Class size is extremely limited…so sign up today!
This month our program will introduce guests to a incredibly versatile form of art utilizing pen & ink. Whether you are new to this art form or want to expand your skills, learning proper techniques for creating pen & ink illustrations can add to the overall effect of your artwork.
Learn techniques to combine drawing and painting in exciting ways. Explore the thrill of combining ink and water to produce intriguing translucent images. The workshop will demonstrate how to make and techniques on how to use ink wash along with sketch pen techniques to create texture. Participants will combine ink wash & pen to create a complete Pen & Ink Illustration. Work from your own or supplied photos.
About the Instructor:
Kimberley Maxwell; born in Canada and resides in South Florida. She earned her MFA at Florida Atlantic University and was awarded the 2004 South Florida Cultural Consortium Visual and Media ArtistFellowship.
Her work has been included in numerous group exhibitions including:
“NewArt South Florida” at the Miami Art Museum
“Transparent Visions” at the Art Center Lincoln Road, Miami Beach, the Armory Art Center in Palm Beach
“All Florida Juried Show” at the Boca Raton Museum
“Harmony of my Obsessions” in the Schmidt Gallery at Florida Atlantic University
