It was due to COVID-19 that the Symphony Society (an affiliate of Symphony of the Americas) had to make the difficult decision to postpone its Merci Maestro concert that would mark Maestro James Brooks-Bruzzese’s legacy as the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of the Symphony of the Americas.

Now, it is with great pleasure and anticipation that they can announce a new date to thank him for creating music and inspiring concert goers over his 32-year career.
Join us as we bid adieu to Maestro Brooks-Bruzzese at the Amaturo Theater beginning with a pre-concert dedication followed by a concert with repertoire selected by the Maestro.

Maestro was a key leader responsible for transforming Fort Lauderdale into a music mecca. His leadership and artistic talents enabled the Symphony to soar to new heights. We will be forever grateful for his contributions.

Please contact the Symphony office with any questions or to learn how you can submit a video tribute to our beloved Maestro (954) 335-7002.
