It’s that time of year, here we go, the Holidays are upon us! Now is the time to join us for a Mental Health Wellness Workshop.
Katie Sandler, the founder of The Impact Retreat, has a background in mental health counseling, psychology, and mindfulness. She was also a psychiatric research assistant at Johns Hopkins, where she focused on purpose in life and its overall impact on our health and quality of living. She found that being altruistic, giving back to others, is one of the best forms of purpose. Therefore, here we are, connecting with one another so we can support our community.
This workshop will cover the basics of mental health, stress, anxiety, and depression. We will discuss ways we cope and the impact that particular practices like yoga and meditation have on our wellbeing. It will also introduce you to mindfulness and effective coping mechanisms. Enjoy a guided meditation and walk away feeling inspired to make an impact with your renewed stress-reducing coping skills.
Includes short meditation, basic stats on mental health in today’s society, educational pieces around mental health, group exercises on mindfulness, and participants walk away with tools on how best to cope..
