Join us for a powerful day of culture, community, and celebration at the 2025 Kwanzaa Celebration hosted by Yes Baby I Like It Raw at the African American Research Library & Cultural Center.
This year’s theme, “Africa Rising: Celebrating Heritage, Building Futures,” invites us to reflect on our roots, embrace the present, and envision a thriving future for the global African community.
What to Expect:
- Yoga & African Dance to begin the day in unity
- Workshops & Dialogues: Kwanzaa 101, Investing in Today’s Africa, Community & Reparations, Food as Medicine (Cooking Demo), and Mental Health & Healing
- Youth & Family Zone: Storytelling, arts, coding, gardening & more
- Kwanzaa Marketplace: Shop Black-owned vendors, artisans & food trucks
- Nguzo Saba Awards Ceremony: Honoring 7 local leaders who embody Kwanzaa’s principles
- Performances & Panels: Theatre, spoken word, dance & community conversations
This is more than a celebration—it’s a space to celebrate, connect, and shape the future together.
