Jack & Jill Children’s Center has been awarded a $100,000 community grant as part of Aetna Foundation’s Cultivating Healthy Communities initiative to implement parent and child nutrition education and build a garden to feed children and families in one of the most high-need neighborhoods in Fort Lauderdale.
Join us at Jack & Jill’s weekly “Garden of Friends” gathering on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. to celebrate the launch of the program. Children will lead a Fruit and Veggie Day Parade. Parade will start at our Garden of Friends and end at the brand-new edible garden funded by the Aetna Foundation.
The Cultivating Healthy Communities program awarded more than $2 million in grants to 25 nonprofit organizations in 14 states to advance the Aetna Foundation’s mission to improve health at the local level.
