The Pompano Beach Cultural Center is calling all little monsters and not-so-little monsters to join us for a Hocus Pocus Halloween Celebration! On Sunday, October 27, all families are invited to come dressed in their best costumes to enjoy a screening of the hit movie Hocus Pocus beginning at 2pm. The event will also offer kid-friendly, Halloween-themed rooms, giveaways and trick-or-treating prior to screening the movie. Adult supervision is required, and admission is free. For more information, www.ccpompano.org or call 954-545-7800.

Hocus Pocus will be on view in the theater and stars Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as three sisters who were executed in 1693 for practicing witchcraft. But before they were put to death, they learned of a curse that would bring them back to life! 300 years later, teenager Max Dennison is a newcomer to Salem, struggling to adjust after growing up in California. Now, on Halloween, while stuck with his younger sister, he accidentally frees the coven. From there on out, it’s a non-stop, fun-filled chase as the witches pursue the children, determined to perform their spells before sunrise or else the witches will be gone forever.
