HANDY, an award-winning non-profit that provides life skills, education and a supportive community for Broward County children in foster and relative/nonrelative care associated with the child dependency system, will be hosting a Grand Opening event to celebrate its new office and campus location. The event will be held on Monday, February 24th from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Community members and organization supporters will gather to celebrate the Grand Opening with a special appearance from Dean Trantalis, Mayor of the City of Fort Lauderdale, who will welcome guests and make opening remarks.
Located at 1717 North Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale FL, 33311 the new HANDY location is approximately 16,606 square-feet and will provide the youth in its program with fantastic upgraded facilities. HANDY works to strengthen Broward’s economically challenged by supporting youth and families from spiraling into economic despair and helps to break the cycle of poverty for current and future generations.
