Volunteering is one of America’s most enduring traditions, and while its importance is often most visible in the wake of crises, it is on a daily basis that communities are most powerfully transformed by the service of caring citizens.
Through thousands of locally driven community initiatives, volunteers not only engender positive change, but they sustain it over time. Without their tireless efforts, society begins to fragment, communities cease to be whole, and our democracy is diminished.
Each year at the Heart of the Community Volunteer Awards Gala, our nonprofit, business and community partners gather to help us recognize and celebrate our county’s most dedicated volunteers. HandsOn Broward invites you to publicly honor the individuals who have contributed their time, talents, and energy to your organization at the 14th Annual Heart of the Community Volunteer Awards Dinner.
