True stories told live on stage!

The Fort Lauderdale Story Slam is a regular storytelling contest that features people telling 5-7 minute true stories about their own lives. The performers include both novices and seasoned storytellers, and at every event the stories cover a wide range of human experience, from the utterly silly to the deeply profound. There are even opportunities for the audience to get involved with fun, interactive storytelling games in between the stories.

The theme of the evening on October 6th is “It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time.”

If you’ve got a great story and you’d like to be in the slam, please submit your idea by phone or email: (954) 540-9897 / There is $100 prize money for the favorite story of the night, and two $50 prizes for the runners-up.
