Oktoberfest Koozies available five dollars each. Oktoberfest challenge coins available $20 each. All proceeds go to the Fort Lauderdale firefighters benevolent Sick and injured fund. See Aaron Caja for details.

2025 Fort Lauderdale Firefighters Benevolent Association Oktoberfest Homebrew Competition
“Official Rules”
1. 3 separate categories will have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals. Peoples Choice, Brewers Choice and Judges Choice (which will be the grand prize).
2. Brewers may bring as many beers as they wish for the Peoples Choice. However, they may only enter 2 brews for Brewers choice & Judges choice. This is a hard # no exceptions due to the fact that it’s very time consuming for the judges to rate so many beers!
3. No charge for brewers (max 2 per brewery). ($30 spectators)
4. No BJCP category style limitations.
5. Bring at least 2 gallons (preferably 5 gal) of each entry (keg, bottles, growlers…etc.)
6. Only beer brewed on homebrew equipment is eligible.
7. Each brewery will receive 1 score sheet to judge the brewers choice awards (you do not score your own beers).
8. Judges Choice will be scored on BJCP score sheet. (1-50).
9. Judging for Brewers Choice will begin at 1pm. Be ready to pour!
10. Bring a receptacle for coin votes for beers (no cheating please)!
11. Provide me a Brewery name, list of beer entries (Judges & Brewers) and BJCP classifications in a timely manner.
At this time there is no cap on the number of brewers, but if it gets too big I may have to limit it so RSVP early to get a spot. This is for a GREAT cause and we hope to raise a lot of $$!
