The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will host three virtual public workshops for the Fort Lauderdale area to notify the public about the Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) on the South-Central Florida Metroplex (FL Metroplex), the agency’s plan to modernize air traffic procedures for air carrier airports and satellite airports in the southern half of the state. The FAA prepared the Draft EA to consider the potential environmental impacts for implementation of the project.
The workshops will include an update on the Metroplex project. Environmental and air traffic control experts will be live online to answer questions. There will also be an opportunity for the public to review and comment on the FAA’s South-Central Florida Metroplex Project. Registration is required to participate.
