Gourmet food and fine wine from global culinary destinations are on the menu for the Holy Cross Hospital Auxiliary’s “Epicurean Escapade 2017: A Food & Wine Experience.” JM Family Enterprises is the Solar sponsor of the event and the Guerrieri Family Foundation is the event’s presenting sponsor.

In honor of local businessman Phil Smith, who passed away in December from ALS, this year’s Epicurean Escapade benefits the Phil Smith ALS and Movement Disorders Clinic at the Phil Smith Neuroscience Institute at Holy Cross Hospital. Before he passed, Smith donated $7 million to name the institute and to establish the clinic.

Guests attending Epicurean Escapade 2017 will indulge in delicious cuisine from such exciting global destinations as Asia, India, Italy and Spain, paired with a wide variety of specially selected wines. Among the highlights will be Indian tandoori ovens and a choice of seafood paella and vegetarian paella from Spain.

The evening will be filled with dancing, live musical entertainment and an auction featuring trips and other extraordinary experiences. TV and radio host Jimmy Cefalo will be the evening’s emcee.

This marks the 61st year for the Auxiliary’s annual fundraiser benefiting the non-profit hospital. Tickets are $250 per person. For more information, call Elaine Lacker at 954-229-8562.
