Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – Deliver the Dream, a South Florida-based nonprofit that organizes retreat programs for families facing serious illness and crisis, celebrates the 13th anniversary of its signature event – the Denim & Diamonds Gala.

The Saturday, November 5th bash begins at 6 p.m. at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort and Spa in Ft. Lauderdale. With guests dressed in the comfort of their best denim paired with formal attire, the event will feature an elegant cocktail reception courtesy of BACARDI U.S.A., delicious dining and plenty of dancing. The lavish silent auction will plenty of exciting staycation packages, airline tickets, jewelry, watches, golf outings and dining experiences.

Sponsors for this year’s Denim & Diamonds Gala include Aetna, Citrix, Crowe Horwath, Gunster, Raymond James, Memorial Healthcare System, 22 Squared, PricewaterhouseCoopers, PNC and Grant Thornton.
Denim & Diamonds attracts more than 400 guests, including the Tri County’s top corporate, medical, financial and community leaders. Funds raised at the gala will help Deliver the Dream continue to bring as many as 15 families together at each monthly retreat. Each family that attends has a member – whether it’s a child or parent – living with an illness such as Multiple Sclerosis, Cancer, Autism, HIV/AIDS Down Syndrome or Cerebral Palsy. The retreats allow families to relax, enjoy time together, forge new friendships and create support groups with other families in similar circumstances. When one person in a family is sick, the entire family is impacted and there are very few organizations nationwide that focus on the whole family unit like Deliver the Dream. The program serves these families and helps them to enhance coping skills, reduce stress, and cultivate relationships with other families by combining traditional recreational activities with therapeutic workshops, peer-to-peer discussion groups and expressive arts and music activities. The retreats are provided at no cost to participants.

Gala tickets are $250 per person and $450 per couple. Sponsorships start at $3,500.  For more information, contact Robyn Harper at 954-564-3512 or visit www.DeliverTheDream.org
