Glass is hot at WMODA and will be even hotter on Saturday, August 14 when we revive our Creative Glass Workshops with Chelsea Rousso. This time we will be making rainbow suncatchers. Rainbows are a symbol of hope, optimism and better times to come in many cultures.
Chelsea’s workshop will be held in the Hot Glass Gallery at WMODA from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm. You will be surrounded by inspiration from Chihuly’s Macchia designs to Anne Orvieto’s rainbow glass. No previous experience is necessary to get creative as Chelsea will take you through the process step by step.
You will have the choice of making a flat rainbow glass panel 7″ by 10″ or a panel 4″ by 12″ which will be fired into a waveform. The cost is $100 and includes expert instruction, superior glass in rainbow colors from Bullseye Glass Co, use of all the tools you need and firings in Chelsea’s kiln. Your work of art will be fired and ready for collection at WMODA approximately 7-10 days later.
