“Change a Life Over Lunch” embraces the power of mentoring, generosity, and hope for future generations. Every day, often over lunch, Take Stock mentors choose to support a student who has the odds stacked against them. Now you can also choose to “Change a Life Over Lunch” by joining our luncheon on March 10th, 2016!
The Old Davie School Historical Museum is the ideal backdrop for guests to reminisce of their days in grade school and learn about the impact Take Stock in Children is having on the Broward community. As guests arrive they will be given a “hall pass” to their table and have an opportunity to bid on silent auction items and take a chance at the pull-board raffle, where every pull is a win: a win for the guests and a win for our scholars.
TSIC Scholars will serve as emcees and will share their powerful stories of renewed hope for their futures. Meanwhile, guest will enjoy a special bagged lunch, carefully packed by TSIC’s Corporate Council!
At the event we will be recognizing Broward County Public Schools as Community Partner of the Year. For the last twenty years, the district has partnered with Take Stock in Children to serve over 1,200 of Broward’s most vulnerable youth. The district has championed our efforts and provided priceless resources and in-kind support. This valuable partnership is truly #changinglives!
We will also be recognizing the dedication of Anthony Thompson as Mentor of the Year. Tony has volunteered with Take Stock in Children for 15 years! He has mentored six students and has seen each and every one onto a path of success. Tony is a true hero in #changinglives!
