Book with Brunch is back virtually this fall with South Florida mystery authors M.E. Browning and Alan Orloff as our special guests.
On Saturday, October 30, mystery fiction critic Oline Cogdill will moderate the Zoom discussion from noon to 12:30 p.m., followed by 15 minutes of attendees’ questions and answers.
Registration is free to ALL! Once registered, guests will receive a confirmation email with the Zoom link to the event. An internet connection is required to join.
In 2022, the two remaining Book with Brunch author events are expected to be weekday in-person programs.
Browning’s newest novel, Mercy Creek, follows Detective Jo Wyatt as she tries to find an elevenyear-old girl who has vanished. As she searches, the detective becomes more convinced that the girl didn’t run away and that a more sinister reason lurks behind her disappearance. For Jo, the case is personal, reaching far back into her past. But as she mines the girl’s fractured family life, she finds many secrets that paint a darker picture.
Orloff writes about a brother-sister investigative team in his newest adult novel, Know Where You Sleep. Anderson West is hired as a private investigator by a woman who is being stalked and threatened. The closer Anderson and Carrie get to an answer, the more dangerous it becomes. To make things even more complicated, the investigators begin to realize the client isn’t being truthful about her backstory.
