Broward Cultural Division hosts a virtual discussion with artists Germane Barnes, David Muir, Darius Daughtry, Adrienne Chadwick, Adler Guerrier, and George Gadson about their work featured in the exhibition The Porch is the Tree is the Watering Hole, now on view at the African American Research Library and Cultural Center.

Moderated by Mikhaile Solomon, Prizm Art Fair Director, this virtual talk will include two rounds of artists interviews (to maintain social distancing on-site), and explore topics brought to light by the exhibition, including the history of Sistrunk, the Black experience in Black neighborhoods, and how the African Diaspora is communicated through the artists’ work.

Free with registration, the panel will be livestreamed on the @BrowardArts Facebook and YouTube pages. Registered participants will receive access information via email from Eventbrite within 24 hours before the event.
