Celebrate Caribbean American Heritage Month at The LOOP with Beans & Bloom, a hands-on community art project presented by The Space Monkies and Hollywood Arts Committee.
Attendees of all ages are invited to co-create a vibrant 3′ x 3′ mosaic of a hibiscus flower — a symbol of unity, resilience, and natural beauty shared across many Caribbean nations. Using a colorful mix of beans layered for texture, the project invites cultural reflection, creative expression, and community connection.

Carlos Diaz de Arce, AKA The Space Monkies, is a Chilean and Cuban artist who lives in the United States. He is known for his unique way of displaying abstract, psychedelic expressionism through a surreal vision and a bold acrylic medium. He describes his influences as spiritual investigation. And also drawing from his interest from his younger years, when he says he discovered his purpose as an artist.
