Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida closes its season with the Spring Gala, a vibrant program showcasing the company’s most dynamic repertoire. Opening the performance is Danzón by Yanis Pikieris, a lively neoclassical piece set to Arturo Márquez’s rhythmic score. Vladimir Issaev’s elegant La Traviata Pas de Deux follows, along with his emotionally charged Shostakovich Suites. Guest choreographer Alberto Méndez brings his celebrated Tarde en la Siesta to South Florida audiences once more in collaboration with Issaev. The evening concludes with the U.S. premiere of Issaev’s large-scale Polovtsian Dances, set to Borodin’s powerful opera score and performed by 32 dancers. A breathtaking finale!
