The Ballet FAIRY DOLL is a classical piece that tells the story of a mechanical doll that comes to life. It is inspired by the very famous ballets: Offenbach’s score for THE TALES OF HOFFMAN, Delibe’s score for COPPELIA and LA BOUTIQUE FANTASTIQUE. The ballet begins by presenting a toy show. The toymaker shows his creations to an English family, but they are not impressed until they see the Fairy Doll. The English family buys her and arranges for her to be delivered. Pleased with his sale, the toymaker locks up for the night. On the stroke of midnight, the dolls come alive and perform a number of dances.
