Riverwalk, in partnership with the City of Fort Lauderdale, will host a 9-11 Remembrance Ceremony to honor all those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks and commemorate the ultimate sacrifices made by our first responders.

The Riverwalk 9-11 Memorial was dedicated on September 11, 2020.  The monument displays a PATH rail segment from the tracks from the World Trade Center wreckage, in an uplifted position held by granite support pillars, which refers to the solid bedrock of Manhattan that supports its massive buildings. The granite support pillars are in pairs, joined by an internally illuminated acrylic spine that suggests the hope of light emerging out of darkness.
