FLITE Center to host 4th Annual Heroes Luncheon entitled “Journey” on Thursday, October 14th at Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

● The Luncheon will pay tribute to the unsung heroes from our community who champion youth so they do not journey to adulthood alone. The event is a celebration of Broward County’s unique Transitional Independent Living (TIL) System of Care, which operates in collaboration with funders, strategic partners and front-line staff from associated organizations that support and dedicate their lives to impacting the lives of our collective youth.

● All proceeds will benefit FLITE Center and its tremendous effort to guide youth for a successful transition to independence through housing, education, employment, wellness and system of care coordination.

● FLITE Center serves as a system convener and reaches close to 2000 youth/young adults per year that have exited the foster care system in Broward County or are transitioning to adulthood with minimal familial support. Each year, an additional 80 – 100 youth prepare for their journey to self-sufficiency and FLITE Center serves as the one-stop resource center connecting them with the full range of assistance that is available within the TIL System of Care and throughout the community.
