Session 1: 48 Hour Film Project Virtual Meetup

Wednesday, July 22, 2020

6:30 – 9:30 PM

Every year, 48 Hour Film Project (48HFP) hosts a series of Meet & Greets where new and former 48HFP filmmakers connect. This year, although we’re physically separated, we’re providing a virtual space where you can connect with other creators. During this virtual Meetup, we’ll share what 48HFP community members have been up to and what we can look forward to this year followed by breakout rooms from 8:30-9:30 PM to discuss future projects and the art of teaming up.

Let’s connect to inspire, enlighten and reinvigorate our passion for cinema during these unprecedented times. RSVP to connect with other creatives and artists.

Session 2: The Art of Acting, Writing, and Collaboration

Wednesday, August 12, 2020

6:30 – 9:30 PM

As creators, we must continue to work on our crafts of writing and acting in order to tell our stories while we remain physically distant. Join us for a candid conversation with Hollywood working actor Antonio Lyons, who has been featured in films including Hotel Rwanda and American History X.

Through an exploration of his work as an actor an activist, Antonio will share his ad-vice on the art of acting and collaboration. We’ll review his preparation and rehearsal process as an actor, and learn how he cultivates collaborative relationships. We’ll finish the session by spending the last hour diving into a new writing resource our team has put together for the upcoming 48 Hour Film Project.

Session 3: Social Activism Through Storytelling

Wednesday, September 9, 2020

6:30 – 9:30 PM

The 48 Hour Film Project has been a fluid platform for creatives to express themselves and amplify stories that concern them. In this session, we will explore some of the creative ways 48HFP Filmmakers have used the platform to explore social activism.
