The Seminole Tribe of Florida will host its 47th Annual Tribal Fair and Pow Wow at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Hollywood, from Friday, Feb. 9 through Sunday, Feb. 11. The three-day cultural festival will feature a film screening, alligator wrestling shows, Native American dance troupes, live Native American musical performances and more. The festival will be headlined by Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Jamey Johnson. Gates open at 10 a.m. each day.

New for 2018, guests will have the opportunity to meet prominent Native American celebrities including actor Martin Sensmeier (“The Magnificent Seven”); actress Michelle Thrush (“Blackstone,” “North of 60” and “Arctic Air”); singer-songwriter, musician, producer, and actor Spencer Battiest (“The Storm,” “Love of my Life”); filmmaker, director, screenwriter, and visual artist Steven Paul Judd; Tribal Fair headliners Taboo  and MAG7 (“Stand Up / Stand N Rock #NoDAPL”) and actor and film producer Wes Studi (“Heat,” “Mystery Men,” “Avatar,” “A Million Ways to Die in the West”), and more.

Eleven-time Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Jamey Johnson has been named “one of the greatest country singers of our time” by The Washington Post.  Johnson is best known for his hit singles “In Color,” “High Cost of Living,” “That’s Why I Write Songs,” “Poor Man Blues” and “Can’t Cash My Checks.”

In addition to a lineup of Native arts, crafts, foods, and music, the Fair will host a Pow Wow dance competition open to all Native people across the Americas. The Pow Wow will feature a drum competition of northern and southern drums, a dance competition in northern traditional, southern straight, fancy, grass and chicken for the men and northern traditional, southern buckskin, fancy, jingle and northern/southern cloth combined for the women.
