Tree Harmony
Tree Harmony is a community program of Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale, in partnership with the City of Fort Lauderdale, dedicated to finding new homes for existing trees. Essentially, it’s a tree matchmaking service, lining up receptor sites for healthy, donated trees. By donating a tree to Tree Harmony, you will make a positive difference along Fort Lauderdale’s Riverwalk Park. Your tree will be replanted in designated areas to:
- Replace trees lost to disease or natural causes along the Riverwalk Park
- Mitigate the destruction of old growth trees due to development by saving them from an untimely death and replanting them in a protected space on Riverwalk
- Provide an enhanced shade canopy for Riverwalk
More green trees mean more oxygen in Fort Lauderdale. Trees enhance the health and quality of life of our citizens while providing homes for fauna. Please note that if a receptor site along Riverwalk Park is not available or appropriate for your particular tree, we may accommodate it in another local park or public right of way.
