Nationally Recognized Dance Artist Fik-Shun to Headline Special Hip Hop Master Class During Anniversary Celebration
LAUDERHILL, FL — One of South Florida’s longest-running dance events is celebrating a milestone anniversary this October as the Developing Dreams Foundation proudly presents the 25th Anniversary Choreographers Ball, taking place October 24–25, 2026, at the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center.
For twenty-five years, the Choreographers Ball has brought together dancers, choreographers, educators, and performing artists from across the region to celebrate creativity, artistic excellence, and the power of dance. This year’s silver anniversary promises to be the biggest celebration yet.
Leading this year’s Dance Workshop is Fik-Shun, the internationally recognized hip hop artist and Season 10 winner of the television competition “So You Think You Can Dance.” Known worldwide for his innovative style, captivating performances, and inspiring teaching, Fik-Shun will lead an exclusive Hip Hop master class for dancers looking to elevate their skills and learn from one of the industry’s most respected performers.
In addition to Fik-Shun’s workshop, dancers will have the opportunity to train in Ballet, Contemporary, and Musical Theatre Jazz with an exceptional lineup of professional instructors before attending an exclusive Q&A session where participants can gain insight into careers in the performing arts.
The celebration continues on Sunday, October 25, with the 25th Anniversary Choreographers Ball Performance Showcase, featuring dance studios, schools, youth organizations, and independent performers from throughout Florida. The showcase will highlight a diverse range of choreography and dance styles while celebrating the artistic achievements of young performers and choreographers.

Having Fik-Shun join us for this milestone celebration makes this year’s event especially exciting.”
